Today I walked 13.49 miles from Santiago de Compostela to Negreira.i haven’t walked this few of miles in a long time. And that is fine since tomorrow will be a longer day.
I know I will miss the Camino and the people I have met when I am done. But my feet will be glad when it is over. I am thankful I have never had blister problems the way that some have. But I can tell you that my feet are beginning to feel the effects of thinner soles on the shoes. Regardless, those shoes have been great to me even though I would never buy this shoe again.
I was pleasantly surprised by the number of people I saw on the trail today. Of course, there were far fewer than the pilgrims I saw after Sarria but it was more than I saw before Sarria.
I met a lot of people who walked all or some of The Portuguese Way and some from The Northern Way.
But I had dinner tonight with eight other people. Four of them I have mentioned before—Philipp, Karl, Jade, and Christin. Plus, there were four Germans—Marcus, Marcus, Corrina, and George.
This photo was taken along the trail I walked today.
